Job Description
The Access Solutions Group is responsible for hundreds of applications delivered via Citrix XenApp 5.0 and 6.5 to 50,000 users and growing. The IT Analyst Citrix Operations is responsible for monitoring, controlling and operating a multi- vendor Access Solution environment comprised of Citrix XenApp, Appsense, Thinprint, RSA Ace, Windows File Clusters, Edgesight and any other related tools and components such as the underlying OS. They are also responsible for analysing first level problems for all systems, resolving and routing as appropriate, supporting the Systems Management Processes specific to their Line of Business client requirements, system recovery, patching and proactive maintenance tasks. The Access Solutions Group is responsible for hundreds of applications delivered via Citrix XenApp 5.0 and 6.5 to 50,000 users and growing. The IT Specialist Citrix Enginering will work with the lines of business to deliver applications to the user base in a timely and professional manner. Documentation of the process is a required aspect for all applications. All applications are packaged using application virtualization tools and prior experience with application packaging is a required skill. As a Citrix Engineer you will provide third level support for XenApp infrastructure issues and assist the 2nd level support group in troubleshooting application issues. Job Description/ Accountabilities In addition, to the above, the IT Specialist Citrix Engineering will be responsible for: Designing, developing and implementing Windows/ Citrix systems to advance business goals. All aspects of Citrix design, performance- monitoring, tuning, scripting, upgrades and maintenance of all production Citrix systems. Supports applications, hardware, operating systems and network infrastructure. Qualifications / Skills / Experience Mandatory qualifications include the following: The ability to identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate issues that affect Citrix and Windows related products. 3 5 years experience in Citrix XenApp Server architecture, design, and implementation; an understanding of Storage Area Networks; Familiarity with MS Windows Server and AD technologies. 3 5 years experience supporting Citrix XenApp infrastructure and related applications. Citrix Engineer V 6.5/ 5.0 Windows Server 2003/ 2008 Windows XP/ 7 / 8 Networking Protocols knowledge APP- V Appsense Project- related work Packaging Applications Capacity Planning / Sizing Exercising Strong troubleshooting Documentation Must have superior communication skills with the ability to present to executive- level management.
