Purpose of the Job
The Systems Integration (SI) Junior Software Engineer (JSE) is responsible for ensuring that interfaces, processes and mapping rules meet requirements in order to accommodate electronic data exchange between CPA Global and external clients and suppliers, and to ensure this is delivered accurately and within agreed SLA. The SI JSE’s key role is to analyse, design and to develop specifications for enhancements and extensions with EDI application interfaces and maps. These requests may be received from clients, regional CPA offices or suppliers. The SI JSE must continually consider ways to improve processes and reduce risk across a variety of systems, always focusing on the retention of high standards of input and output. The SI JSE’s aim is to enhance the client service, improve efficiency and reduce risk, in order to facilitate improvements to the core business, both maintaining and contributing to improve CPA Global’s position as the leading IP Service provider.
Main Accountabilities
The responsibilities of the SI JSE are to:
SI Performance
Create and maintain new and existing electronic data maps & packages between internal and external systems
Follow written ISO-9001 procedures to ensure quality and accuracy of output
Test related electronic data exchange systems developed by other IS teams
Ensure that all electronic data exchange, as detailed in the SI service catalogue, between CPA Global and external clients or suppliers is resolved and delivered accurately within SLA
Communicate with internal clients to meet external clients’ requirements
Prioritise and manage tasks and embrace a client-focussed quality culture
SI Enhancements
Contribute to projects whilst meeting Process SLAs
Proactively identify opportunities for improvements to reduce the amount of incidents and manual intervention, thereby enhancing the client service, improving efficiency and reducing risk
Input into technical documentation such as SI service catalogue and ISO documentation to ensure all procedures are accurate
Perform in line with the CPA Global Values and in compliance with the CPA Global Employee Handbook

Key Skills / Experience Required
ESSENTIAL
Graduation/Post Graduation (any stream) with strong computer/technical fundamentals
Experience in a Techno-Functional role
Sound knowledge of SQL (query writing and troubleshooting) and RDBMS concepts
Hands on experience in VBA (MS-Excel and MS-Access). Should have implemented VBA based projects
Exposure to Data Manipulation techniques
Very strong Data Analytical skills
Proficiency in MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint
Effective Communication skills (both written and verbal). Should be effective at independent Client Interaction
PREFERABLE
Knowledge of Project Management tools
Required Behaviours
Techno-Functional mind-set; A Techie with a Business bent
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Able to multi-task and prioritise work, and re-prioritise at short notice
Must be able to work under own initiative, without supervision, as well as being a team player
