The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) online registration process has been started for clerical posts (CWE CLERKS-VIII) on its official website - ibps.in. The last date to apply is October 10.

Vacancy details:
Total posts: 7,275

Name of the post: Clerk

Educational qualification required:
Applicant must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university or have any equivalent qualification recognised by the central government.
Also have the working knowledge of computer systems and must have passed in English as one of the subjects at SSC/HSC/Intermediate/Graduation level.

Age limit:
Not less than 20 years and not above 28 years.

Age relaxation:
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
Other Backward Classes: 3 years
Persons with disabilities: 10 years

Steps to apply for IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2018:
  • Visit the official website, ibps.in
  • Click on the 'online application' tab
  • Register using your e-mail id and password in the new window that opens
  • Again login using your credentials and complete the application form
  • Pay the online application fees
  • Download and take a print out for further use

Important things to remember:

  • Candidates would need a scanned image of their photograph (4.5cm X 3.5cm), dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred) and file size should be between 20 kb-50 kb
  • Applicants should have a scanned image of their signature. The Signature should not be in capital letters. The candidate should sign on a white paper with black ink pen. The preferred dimension for signature is 140 x 60 pixels and file size should be between 10 kb - 20 kb
  • Candidate needs to upload left thumb impression. The thumb impression should be clearly scanned and should not be smudged. 
  • Candidate also needs to upload a handwritten declaration in their application form. The text for the hand written declaration is as follows: "I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required."

Selection process:
The exam would be held in two phases: preliminary and main.

Prelims:
In the prelims, candidates need to clear three sets of test i.e.
English language (30 marks)
Numerical (35 marks)
Reasoning ability (35 marks)

Total time: 1 hour.
