Organization: Siemens Limited – Power & Gas, Product, R&D, Gas Turbine
Responsibilities
This position is in Simeens Gas Turbine, Reaserach & Development department which is responsible for development of design tools that are used by the product design engineers. Duties will include all stages of the software development process including requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation.
This position uses cutting edge computing tools and technologies to design power generation components.
This position includes numerous opportunities for career growth within our global engineering community.
This position provides collaboration and communication with design engineers in R&D, engineers throughout the Siemens engineering community, senior management, external technical partners, and universities throughout our many locations in the US, Europe, India, China, Russia, and more.
This is position offers a possibility to work with the development of tools that are used by the sales force, and are the shop window through which our potential customers meet our products the first time
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
3 to 8 Years of experience in computing tool development in the areas of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, and/or Generator Mechanical Design.
Experience with SQL database development and / or development of tools for thermodynamics calculations.
Development of software tools for engineering design applications
Experience of development using APEX
Experience in Thermodynamics methods, GT-performance
Knowldege/Experience with Java scripting
Knowledge/ Experience with HTML scripting
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage software development projects to satisfy technical, budget, and schedule requirements
Computer languages (e.g. Python, Java, FORTRAN, C/C++)
Operating systems (e.g. Linux, MS Windows)
