Job Title: Automation Tester
Reports to: Automation Test Lead
No of Years of Experience: 2-3 years
Desired Skills:
Good Hands on experience in tools like QuickTest Pro (QTP) (mandatory), Quality Center.
Expertise in Test Automation Frameworks.
Expertise in developing Automation Test scripts, automation assets and accelerators.
Good understanding of automation programming concepts and languages like VBScript. Exposure to operating systems like Windows and Unix is desirable.
Creation and Maintenance of Automation scripts. Executing automation test suites for various Software applications / products.
Knowledge of QA methodologies, processes and industry standards like CMMI, AGILE
Soft Skills:
Good communication & articulation skills (verbal & written).
Good team player.
Good problem solving skills.
Must be a self starter and ability to technically consult projects.
Responsibilities:
Design, build and implement automation frameworks, accelerators and extensions for Projects.
Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation. Provide solutions needed to enhance the automation suite and automation framework capabilities.
Independently conduct Proof of Concepts to validate proposed automation solution.
Analyze the requirements and create automation test scripts and execute them.
Document findings and analyze results to make recommendations.
Provide technical expertise in automation to project teams.
Participate in Automation Test environment preparation and setup.
Participate in QTP migration and upgrade activities.
