Paytm is Hiring - Sales (merchants Sigups/sourcing)
The role would be to own the business development efforts for the marketplace business of Paytm. The key deliverables from the role would be:
Job Responsibilities:
* Reach out to the universe of merchants that are selling on other marketplace platforms and sign them up for Paytm marketplace.
* Source catalogues of these merchants and ensure availability of a wide variety of products on the marketplace
* Work with merchandising team to get the catalogues live on the marketplace
* Negotiate best possible comissions with sellers while bringing them onboard
* Keep track of best offers running in the market and look to replicate them on Paytm platform
* Be the SPOC of all existing and new merchants that want to sell on the platform
* Generate market information, and bring in regional expertise/ local flavor in sourcing
Key Deliverables:
* Deliver the business metrics for the category viz. Availability (#of listings, stock availability, # of merchant partners)
* Maintain the balance between MOM growth for current sellers and avoiding seller concentration - so get new sellers
* Reduce churn of sellers - keep all sellers engaged with the marketplace through day - day interaction on live catalogues
* Ensure the category sellers deliver a good experience for buyers in the category
Profile Requirements:
* 1-6 years of experience of field sales, preferably in a technology/ marketplace/ e-commerce industry.
* Business development mindset and strong operational co-ordination
* Good negotiation skills
* Proficient in MS Office
* Attention to detail and comfortable working in a ground up business environment
